I've been longing to try my hand at investing , but I have no idea where to start . A couple of books that caught my attention , but overall I'd say pretty lost in a sea of books and websites on the subject . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can start?

Well, I guess you understand how to buy / sell shares online - and it's super simple. I think you mean what are some of the techniques in the stock purchase ( I apologize if I'm wrong ) . A good way to start is to buy buy stocks based on analyst ratings - that's what I did and it can work very well .
