Dividends on Foreign Stocks through the Pink Sheets?1. å°› benzene Dan 2012-10-01 10:12:03
I've found a respecatble company through that trades through the Pink Sheets (believe it or not) and I'm curious as to how dividends paid by this company will be taxed and distributed. The company trades under the ticker CUPUF in the Pink Sheets, and is listed in US$ on the Toronto Stock Exchange under CUP.U. They're basically the utility that services the Cayman Islands, a low risk play as far as the Pink Sheets are concerned. They pay a 7% dividend. A few questions: I have a TD Ameritrade account, and can purchase shares of CUPUF. I understand the liquidity risk, and would like to purchase a few hundred shares, but want to make sure that I'm not getting into anything sticky in the tax realm. Does anyone have any experience in the Pink Sheets similar to this that they'd be willing to share? Thanks in advance, Bob

Buying pink sheet stocks?0help...2012-08-18 09:41:02
Hello , I have a couple of questions with respect to stocks pink sheet . My first question is , what are some online brokers that allow you to trade. Pink ( pink slip ) actions? I am with TradeKing , and they allow you to trade OTC (over the counter ) stocks, but not the pink sheets ... I think. So does anyone know where I can negotiate this type of action ? Also, what is the difference between a pink sheet and OTC stock ? My next question is, how safe is to assume that one can do a decent amount of trade in exchange for these actions? For example , I've been keeping my eyes on this population is fairly constant fluctuating between 0.0001 and 0.0003 per share. Now if I were to come when the action reaches 0.0001 and 0.0003, which could make the bank , right? It just seems that something is wrong jump to that assumption , so I want to make sure before you throw a lot of money in this population. I mean , could you get in at 0.0001 and then sell to 0.0003 ? Or is it much more difficult than I 'm imagining ? Any help is greatly appreciated here !

Commission price of trading OTC and pink sheets through questrade?0Icy2012-07-02 14:44:03
questrade allows you to trade otcs and pink sheets online, but I read a review that said they have different commission pricing. I cant seem to find anything about this on their website, i was wondering if anyone knew if there is a difference in the commission prices for these types of trades, do they go above the maximum $9.95? Example: Say I were to buy 300000 shares at 0.0008 per share, would they charge above $9.95 commission?
