We just inherited a Franz Hermis shelf clock. 2 jewel 30-070 marked on the works. It has begun to run slow but we don't know how to adjust it. We see a plus and a minus engraved on either side of the horizontal fly wheel which suggests something should be turned but what we don't know. Above the fly wheel and on either side of a vertical coil (or spring?) are screw heads. Are these the adjustment controls and does the minus mean "slow it down" and the plus mean "speed up"? We are clueless. Incidentally, the fancy removable back of the clock says "La Societe Nationale d'Horticulture de France" which indicates I suppose that this is a reproduction of an old clock.
