According to the Democrats on Y!A today, THEY ARE! They insist, they have not changed their position on any of these issues. They have ALWAYS had these positions, and anyone who believes otherwise is just plain silly, according to them. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091211/ap_o
What political party am I?2YRIELLE RHAYNE2012-08-15 01:30:02
I've always considered myself a dem, but is there a third party or democratic faction that better suits me? My beliefs: -Taxes should be higher on the wealthiest of Americans. -Taxes should be lower on the middle class. -I support a balanced budget amendment. -We should end the Afghanistan war and cut defense spending. -Welfare ought to be reformed so it's more of a transitionary program from unemployment to work. -We should expand free trade. -I'm okay with gay marriage. -I'm okay with early term abortions. -There ought to be very minor gun control. -Buisnesses ought to be regulated more. -I support the GM bailout, however I am against most of the Wall Street bailouts. -I am opposed to affirmative action. -The PATRIOT Act is unconstitutional and should be repealed. -The individual madate portion of Obamacare should be repealed.
What do you think about this political party?0Bone2012-08-16 14:35:03
I'm starting a political party called the Unity Party . Now I have your show on the Amazon , but I was wondering what are ways to get out , all sites ? The party itself will always represent the popular vote and seeking world peace. Here is his statement of ideology : Unionist ideology is simply this:. Peace and freedom for all through integrating and form unions of nations , religions , cultures and peoples Here's a Facebook page for the match : Union information The Union Overview A union is simply that, a union of nations coming together for the greater good. A union acts as a clock that creates and maintains peace within nations that compose it. For this, a union composed of elected officials from a regional area , area of ‚Äč‚Äčnational and international level . To view a regional area is larger than a state, but smaller than a nation, while a national area is each nation and an international zone to all nations of the union. At the regional level , officials are elected to a union
What political party do I belong to?1vedrana2012-10-20 15:01:01
I have a very particular vision of politics and see no current party that represents my thoughts . I want to get some crucial things clear before we start: I'm not racist , I'm not a Nazi , I'm not a communist ..... Okay, here we go MedlinePlus . MedlinePlus Abortion : I believe that abortion should be practiced without the use of tax dollars MedlinePlus Trade : Trade must be free and among the people to carry out MedlinePlus War : War is a sign to show military strength and global domination . We support and encourage MedlinePlus Wellness: Not sure on this one. I think it's fine for now . MedlinePlus Not really good or bad Hate Crimes : Should not be treated differently from other crimes in our society MedlinePlus Recreational Drugs : I think marijuana should be legalized and taxed , but other drugs should be discouraged MedlinePlus Animals : Aniamls are part of nature and as the top of the food chain , we have the right to eat and kill MedlinePlus Weapons : Only several firearms must be purchased. Small pistols and hunting rifles . Everything else is unnecessary MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I think that's everything except this view that only one of my friends agree with me about and I admit ... is radical , but I see it as a way to improve human society : Philosophy is obese citizens humanely kill after a long period of time for them to get in shape . This means that the percentage of Americans exterminate lazy unwilling to help society . I honestly do not think this will ever happen , but it's just a view. Does anyone have any idea what party I belong?

Which political party should I join?0skot2012-10-25 23:56:59
I do not know which party to join, but I consider myself a Christian Democrat. Here are some of my views. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Abortion: I believe in making abortion legal only in a situation where the woman would die. I however, would not do it unless adoption agencies, health care for children, easy access to education of children, child care, and family planning organizations were easier to access, or can be provided by government. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Education: support for early childhood education, college tuition, and reward the best teachers. I also believe that everyone should have the opportunity of a good education. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Energy:. I believe in making sure to replace our dependence on oil with clean coal, solar, wind, biofuels, water and other forms of energy that can be renewed MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Free Trade:. I support Fair Trade to ensure they do not lose jobs, workers, or are more disadvantaged than what we earn MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Gun Control: I believe in strict registration laws that make the person who buys a gun has not committed a crime in the last 20 years and the person can be trusted with a gun. I think people should have the right to defend themselves. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Heath Care:. I believe in supporting health in a way very similar to Barack Obama MedlinePlus MedlinePlus National Security. I want to revise the Patriot Act to not violate the rights of both peoples MedlinePlus MedlinePlus LGBT Rights:. I oppose marriage and civil unions for gays, but I think I should be able to see each other in the hospital MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Social Secruity: I think some social Secruity be private so that people can choose what they want to invest in. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Stem cell research: I oppose stem cell research MedlinePlus. MedlinePlus Taxes:. I believe in progressive taxation policies of taxing the rich higher and lower middle class MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Foreign Policy: I think we should try to get UN backing for war, but if we do, I think we still should have an option. I also believe in trying to be much more peaceful than Warbound. I think going into Iraq was a mistake because a civil war was likely to happen either way.
What Australian Political Party Should I join?0Maximo2012-09-27 01:09:02
I've always been fascinated by politics and, more recently, especially after our last federal election results I guess, I'm seriously considering joining a political party. There has to be one of the two most important, because it really did not appeal to me at all. I wonder if you have some suggestions of a party that agrees with most of my personal beliefs; MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * I agree that climate change is likely to occur, and that humans can be a little responsible, but I disagree with a "carbon tax" or expensive emissions trading scheme or cap and trade as a solution . I think we should look for alternative renewable energy and the protection of our oceans and forests instead. MedlinePlus * As Dick Smith (and many others) I believe in a "sustainable population" of Australia and immigration should be substantially reduced until we have water, infrastructure and possible assistance for additional people. However, there is a good spot for people living here to continue to have more children than our population is aging. MedlinePlus * I believe that asylum seekers arriving by boat in Australia should be processed offshore and humane treatment. I agree that is a signatory to the UNHCR (Refugee Convention) Australia has a responsibility to ensure that persons fleeing a war-torn country for a better life should be safe and humane treatment, even during the settlement process refugees (including off-shore solution), but we should not open our borders to people to get (and stay) in our country illegally. MedlinePlus * Although I can see some merit in the broadband plan of government, I do not think that the optical fiber to every home and business (at a cost of at least $ 43 billion) is the best plan for our communication needs and technology. Fibre is good but does not last long and will have to be replaced in 15-20 years at similar cost, and no private company is going to fund that! While I agree that we need better broadband, faster ... I do not think the NBN is the best idea. MedlinePlus * I agree with any plan to censor the Internet, and I think it is the role of parents to monitor their children's computer use to keep them safe. The government can help with optional filters at home if the parents want, but should not be mandatory. MedlinePlus * I support Australian republican model with our head of state (President) is elected by the people for the people. MedlinePlus * Support for citizens initiated referendum (CIR), which allows a section of the community to insist on a national vote on any matter with enough community support for it to be presented. MedlinePlus * I accept that we are part of an international community and we must do what we can to help others and avoid war and conflict whenever possible, but ultimately - we support Australia and our first fellow Australians. This makes me a nationalist. I'm a little concerned about movements such as the UN and their reasons for pushing an unelected world government world. We can be part of the UN, but we must not give any of our sovereignty and national identity. MedlinePlus * I do not believe that governments should sell public assets and business to make money fast. The money they earn should spend more on public infrastructure. Since the settlement Telstra have noticed that the Telstra customer service has declined considerably and still intimidate competitors out of the market. MedlinePlus * Hospitals should be paid for good results and not on the number of patients seen or operations. Medicare should cover basic dental checkups and people should be encouraged to have (and use) private health insurance - even extended to cover 100% of the private medical GP if possible, so there will be no Medicare " gap "payments. MedlinePlus * Schools and universities should not be funded on the basis of student test scores or results. Schools with the highest achievements should be no more than those with lower scores. Perhaps schools could receive an additional payment based on student attendance rather than test results. Schools should also focus more on basic English, mathematics and personal health issues (PE). MedlinePlus * Support the right of same-sex couples to marry in the same way as heterosexual couples can. A "civil union" is still not equal to a marriage. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Anyway, thanks for reading (I know it was not long) and I am looking for answers that are intelligent and impartial. Any suggestion of a political party may be able to be closely aligned with my views ... or should I start my own?!
What is my political philosophy and what party in the US do I belong to?4nonna2012-10-14 09:08:01
I recently had a " crisis" of political ideology . I used to believe in liberal ideals , but now I'm starting to see the market in a positive way (thanks , economy class) . These are my views : MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I believe in economic freedom . I believe in the human rights of lesbian , gay , etc. I think people should be able to do whatever they want as long as it does not hurt others . I do not believe in socialism . I think the only role government should play is to education ( as education systems Japanese or Korean ) . I absolutely despise conservative populist movements like the Tea Party , but I am also suspicious of populism liberal movements as Occupy Wall Street . I do not like religious extremism ( Christian, Muslim , or otherwise ) . I think the U.S. should stay out of international conflict . I believe in free trade. I believe in limited government regulation of business . I believe in science and what it has to say about evolution and climate change . I hate Fox News, Glenn Beck , Sarah Palin , Michelle Bachman , but I'm starting to hate Rachel Maddow of MSNBC and ... in fact, I do not like sanctimonious people with sticks up your ass . Basically , I subscribe to conservative views on the economy , but I am very liberal with regard to social issues so as not to undermine the freedoms of people to do what they want . For example : if I hate racism , hate how France has laws that limit freedom of expression , if the speech can be racist in content . Freedom of speech is freedom of expression . I want to be able to fit into a political group without having to subscribe to the conservative zealots distorted view on social issues and science , or liberal views of the socialist economy .
UK. How can political party funding be improved?1PHelp2012-09-08 14:39:02
The Conservative Party is based on the ' City ' and is rich bankers . Labor unions depend . Both organizations have objectives other than safety and prosperity of Great Britain as a whole. The dominant parties are then slaves to their objectives . Could we have a " poll tax " , or do we need central government funding based on the numbers voting constituency . Anybody have any other ideas? Please try to be politically neutral in their response . Account is the financing !
Whom should I vote for? Which political party do I belong in? Which candidate do my ideals most align with?0mary-beth2012-08-21 20:45:03
I used to think it was solid Dem ... As I've gotten older, however, I find myself very unique to have ideas that differ from that game and sometimes seems extremely right-wing. I do not sell it at a party, just tell me which candidate best fits my beliefs and values. He likes Obama, but still completely HATES accepts donations of Goldman Sachs & Gov't supports bailouts. Tired of corporate $ $ in our political system. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * For cap and trade MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * For Dodd / Frank MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * Pro-life in all cases MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * Against military intervention in all cases except in direct attacks against U.S. only MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * For health care nationwide mandatory, but with the option to choose their health care plan MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * To MedlinePlus gay marriage MedlinePlus * For a balanced budget MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * For social programs, but with mandatory drug testing for all recipients MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * Against Gov't bailouts of private MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * To gov't job creation through infrastructure renewal federal / railways / roads MedlinePlus * It promotes the idea that the rich pay a little more taxes. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * Supports tax credits for small businesses MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * Against any amnesty program for illegal immigrants (favors states like Alabama law regarding illegals) MedlinePlus * Against corporate personality / citizens united MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * For purposes of transparency: Government in all matters except military planning. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * Believes global warming is real (I can not believe it's even an issue yet, but it seems to be.) MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * Believes that all presidential candidates must receive a fixed amount of $ $ to campaign, and campaign donations should be subject to a low limit ($ 100 per person) to prevent companies 'own' the candidates . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * Promotes a shift away from electoral college votes towards popular, eventually moving to a system in which candidates are ranked 1st-2nd-3rd on the ballot and the vote of a person who is disaggregated by uniform way to represent its ranking of candidates (similar to the Heisman Trophy voting). MedlinePlus MedlinePlus * For rights of the Second Amendment, but with tighter controls. (What's ban assault rifles) MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Let me know what you think, the more the merrier. Moreover, it is something that I am not alone in thinking? Looks like nobody represents normal people anymore.
