Do you think the Nets can actually spoil the Knicks plans to get Carmelo and Chris Paul?0dada2012-08-01 07:02:02
I still believe that most likely Chris Paul will not be a Hornet in the Future because Hornets management won't have enough money short-term to build around him and they probably won't want to lose him for nothing. . I believe that the Nets will have better trading pieces to get Paul like Devin Harris (good point guard) and Derrick Favors (potential 20 and 10 guy) along with 2 first round picks (Knicks don't have any until 2014. Even without including an expiring deal in the deal the Nets still have enough money to sign Carmelo in 2011 and they will have a good set of 7 players Murphy, Lopez, Carmelo, Chris Paul, Terrence Williams, Anthony Morrow, Travis Outlaw.
Do you think the Nets are better equipped than the Knicks to get Chris Paul and Carmelo?0Isuckatmath2012-09-11 07:56:04
Unlike the Nets Knicks have first round picks in the near future , a young foorward potential star power in Derrick Favors and a top 8 point guard Devin Harris in that can be used as trading assets to get Chris Paul . Even if the Knicks is their first choice , its up to Hornets owner to determine where Chris Paul was not until 2012 . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus If the Nets were able to get Chris Paul before the summer ended Thiis Carmelo is very likely to go there as a free agent because he has to have a large base to be a top 7-8 player in this league . Brook Lopez will probably be better than Amare in 3 years anyway and could easily be the best or second best center , which is good, since few good centers in the game today . The Nets also have good role players like Outlaw , Morrow , Terrence Williams . MedlinePlus As expiring contracts of some of the players the Nets are the books this summer the Nets have enough money to offer a deal Carmelo near max . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus It is also in the best interest of Chris Paul to sign an extension before this season , before the new CBA . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I doubt lociation also be a factor because the Nets are moving to Brooklyn . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Last point Avery Johnson has goten the NBA Finals as a coach , Dantoni no. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus If Paul goes to the Knicks Nets sh1tten his pants .
Which franchise deserve Carmelo more Nets or Knicks?0Trina2012-09-18 20:43:03
I would say the Nets . I think the Nets have been just a bad team and did not get a break . No major free agents signed there last year and lost to John Wall. I 'd like to see Carmelo go there in a sign and trade and St. Paul in 2012 and try to win at least one championship in 2014 . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I would also like to see Brook Lopez become the player he can be. I think the reason we are fighting mostly on the rebound is that there is too much pressure to be the main scoring option in New Jersey and Carmelo does not think it will get a lot of good looks as the second scoring option and Paul running point . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I also think that the Nets was being more honest in the sense that they were trying to put good pieces around ( Lopez and Harris ( to be negotiated ) and Terrence Willliams ( who was traded )) instead of clearing cap space as the Knicks did. I also like to see the faces of Knicks fans if Melo agreed to an extension with New Jersey.
Is Washington Wizards, NY Knicks, New Jersey Nets, Philidelphia 76ers a possibity for Carmelo Anthony?1tom again2012-11-04 10:22:02
Well, since Carmelo is a FA in 2011 or 2012 would be one of these teams is a good choice for him , as it would be near his home in Baltimore ? Could you see him go to any of these items? There were trade rumors about him going to New Jersey a couple of years ago , but trade did not fall. However, it is possible for him to land, possibly in Washington or New York ?
Would the Knicks have a better shot at landing Tony Parker in a trade more so than Chris Paul?0Toshi2012-10-27 09:30:40
I think even if Chris Paul 's heart is in New York and he will not sign an extension , the Hornets probably change it before the deadline to a contender that could offer more and be willing to take the risk of signing a extension , as the Lakers , Blazers , Magic and Grizzlies . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus However, Tony Parker is a very responsible asset that the Knicks could acquire . The Knicks could offer much Billups expiration Spurs would cap space to rebuild when Duncan retires , Tony Douglas , which would be their starter of the future , and Landry Fields could be a very good player and all-star in this league that can Ginobili replaced in about two years .
Do you think trading Chris Bosh for Chris Paul a good deal or should i trade Al Jefferson for Paul?0Danial Dunson2012-07-11 02:56:02
Also is jason terry a keeper?
Why are the Nets even trading for Carmelo?0Maximilia2012-07-05 14:24:02
Your first option is that the Knicks can make a one and a fact and leave them with nothing in the summer of 2011, which would be hilarious.
Alternative PG plans for the knicks. your thoughts?3Emilee :(2012-10-19 19:29:02
I know that New York PGs rather have or are Chris Paul, Tony Parker or Deron Williams, but as I said in my last question, I think the concept of having a "Big 3" is overrated. I think the signing of three All-Star to max contracts is a bad idea in the long run because eventually a full salary cap team dedicated to the three players. for me, that kind of wage restraint will make it very difficult to create a well rounded MedlinePlus alignment because the role players have to be willing to take big pay cuts. MedlinePlus I said in my last question I think stat and melo and is a great base to build a team around. but making big 3s seem to be the popular thing among franchises of large market, so I doubt the Knicks will agree with me. however, in the unlikely event they change their mind, I have some alternative proposals for the team to have a great PG without offering a max contract immediately, and I would like to know your opinion about them. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus 1.) Bring back Raymond Felton MedlinePlus -Raymond Felton had great chemistry with Amare, and it was a great fit for the Knicks system. but he has struggled with Ty Lawson division minutes since being traded to Denver. MedlinePlus -From lawson nuggets as obviously better, and felton contract expires after next season, they can buy out his contract or trade him to a team if they want to buy him something in return. Felton then be able to return to the Knicks if it chooses to. MedlinePlus -That is only 26 so it is safe to sign him for several years, he also is a star of everything that will not cost money max. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus 2.) Trade steve nash MedlinePlus -The soles have to admit that they can not win big with the current list, and send Steve Nash to a place where you have the opportunity to go to the final. phoenix can erase some serious cap room if they change nash Chauncey Billups, and use the options in the contratcs team of Billups and Vince Carter. MedlinePlus -If the Suns decide not to keep Billups, who is a free agent and be able to give the Knicks a short multi-year deal worth less money. Chauncey and not worth the money up, and the short multi-year agreement gives security to play his last years in the NBA. Billups can split time with or SG Nash game as it has the skill set to do so. MedlinePlus -The Knicks also must negotiate with t'wolves draft rights to Ricky Rubio. Minnesota already leaning toward drafting Kyrie Irving this year with a selection of the top three, and I think Irving will be a better investment for them as they will play immediately, and not go to Spain for two years as a blonde did. I've always heard the talk about how great it's going to fit in the Mike D'Antoni system run and shoot, and learning behind two great PGs of the last decade, will be an excellent experience for him as a rookie owes Knicks elect to be moving the starter once Nash and Billups. Rubio is a rookie, and Felton, will not send money immediately max. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus so plan you like better? MedlinePlus A. sign Chris Paul, Tony Parker, Deron Williams or a max contract and risk a plug plugged into the future. MedlinePlus B. bring back Raymond Felton, Chauncey Billups is or becomes MedlinePlus C. trade for Steve Nash, Chauncey Billups resign for less money, then invest the future instead of PG Ricky Rubio.
Can the Knicks trade for Carmelo without giving up Gallinari?0Vera2012-10-05 10:19:19
I really like the way Gallinari plays and would hate to see him go . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I'd settle for the Nuggets Wilson Chandler , Anthony Randolph , the expiring contract of Eddy Curry and a selection of future? That seems a fair deal to me.
Do you think that the Nuggets should have made the trade for Carmelo alot earlier to the Nets?0Jasona2012-10-05 19:08:41
Right now the ball is in the court of Carmelo and if you say no to an extension to the Knicks Nets may exchange only for him. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus At the beginning of the season , Carmelo 's agent made it clear that the Nets and the Knicks were the only two teams that have been willing to sign an extension . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus So I think the Nuggets should have changed before the season started Nets Derrick Favors could be as good or even better than Carmelo in the future , Terrence Williams , who can be a legitimate role player , Troy Murphy (who has an expiring contract ) and two first-round picks . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I think the Nets would have been more reluctant to pull this trade off at the beginning of the season , but did not immediately Melo signing an extension as it could have been competing for a playoff spot this year with him and Brook Lopez would also had the cap room for Chris Paul out there . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I think the Nuggets were too greedy and if traded to the Knicks will get much less in comparison if you had sent the Nets in the first place .
