Today's statement from the CFTC:
"Barclay's attempted to MANIPULATE and made FALSE REPORTS concerning both benchmark interest rates to benefit the bank's derivatives trading positions by either increasing its profits or minimizing its losses. The conduct occurred regularly and was pervasive."

Remember when he was elected first Prime Minister David Scameron comment was to defend the banks , it is not surprising considering they are the paymasters of the nasty Tory party , unfortunately , the FSA have only Barclays a slap on the wrist . FSA should have followed their U.S. counterparts, the imposition of a punishment to fit the crime, and laying the blame on those responsible. FSA has not achieved its purpose AGAIN. shame on them! ! one can only assume they do not want to anger their prospective employers. Business As Usual So is it any wonder that we have broken Britain / destruction of society , when our partners are rewarded for alleged corruption?
