Not . I have the hope of the Yankees will be able to turn around this year, but it will be difficult. They have a very solid pitching staff . Wang is great, although he had a great start last night , but overall , it does the job. Pettitte has been struggling lately . Still able to give us some good entries but not near where the lights go out. Mussina has been looking really good the last couple of starts , but who knows how long it will last.
I think though that one of the biggest problems is that the Yankees are not hitting . Many of these games we have lost lately have not been peeled . Our bats should have been able to overcome at least some of them. I think you just have to get into a groove and start getting hits when needed.
We are missing A- Rod and Posada from the lineup. It could be the jolt we need, when one comes back. Besides, who knows, maybe Hughes will return after the All Star break and be much better than it was before going to the DL . But in general, with the team we have now, will be a struggle. We definitely have a battle year ahead of us.
