I will try to answer this briefly . Advertising , as it can play an important role in influencing the position , I would have to say that PR is key to positioning. Here's the logic . If the iPod came to the media without anyone knowing what he did, how it fits with the music download sites , how it worked seemlessly with Mac computers , how was small, smaller , how could keep your photo library and video , do you think Apple would have enjoyed rapid market penetration ? The simplified question would be if people do not know or understand what you are trying to advertise , how can you expect people to understand and embrace the publicity ? PR builds brands , advertising supports the brand -building strategy .
